Star Wars
I just returned from the 12:01 showing of Star Wars: Episode III. Yes, of course I saw it in an AMC.
As I sit here, I can't help but remember the Spring of 1999. I remember camping out in the Kohls parking lot a week prior to the release to buy tickets with most of you. I rememeber having a final the next morning! I never would have believed that in 6 years I would be watching the last Star Wars movie in San Diego, California without any of you.I realize that we never actually use this forum (the last post was in 2004), but I think we will all naturally return for the nostalgia after seeing Episode III. I sure hope I'm not the only one who went to a midnight showing! Anyway, once I get a few replies, I will post an update on myself. I havent really done that in awhile-- but its 330 in the morning and I need to get started on Episode IV!! May the saxaphone of life blow you nothing but cool notes... -0017 |

I also saw the 1201 showing of SW3. I did see it a few hours before you did though. (point and laugh) The advantage of being on the East Coast. I liked it a lot. No Jar Jar! I will be seeing it again tomorrow. I hope this time someone around me doesn't have gas. Anyway I missed all the fun of making fun of waiting in line outside of khols. Not to mention the fun of pointing out that everyone else in that line was a bigger looser than we were.
As for an update...I am getting married. I asked Katie to be my wife last weekend. She reluctanlty agreed. We are looking at the end of May to June timeframe next spring. We are hoping that all of you can make it out. I don't know if anyone besides me, 0037, and 0017 look at this anymore but I would love to hear what all of you are up to. 0021 Last edited by 0021 : 05-26-2005 at 01:06 PM. |

I haven't seen it yet. Not in any hurry. No change there since I also was MIA during the loser-ish gathering outside of Kohl's when Ep. 1. came out.
I lower my head in shame for my friends.

I too check this occasionally. Unfortunatley I was not able to see the movie Thursday morning at 12:01, but I was able to see it the day after it came out at AMC 24. It was pretty good I thought. Nothing much to update about me, I am just living at home and taking the summer off of school.

Though I don't dispute the "loser-ish" classification, I will say, in our defense that we were not dressed in costumes or fighting with fake lightsabers. It was a unique experience for me because I had a final exam the next morning and we were camped out a WEEK BEFORE the movie even came out. However, I will always look back on it as time well spent with my closest friends. That doesn't seem loser-ish at all.

Re: Star Wars
Just ban them. Bots like these try to form sentences that sound real by shaping the words around whatever the subject is. I get similar IMs from bots all the time.
This one kinda freaked me out because our old doggy's name was Star... but yeah. SPAM.
